What does that mean?

Jesus

Carry is one of the most important parts of our DNA. It means we intentionally carry the presence of Jesus within us, both too will and to work according to his good purpose. It’s a way of saying we pursue holiness.

“always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.” 2nd Corinthians 4:10

For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work according to his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13

Together

When Jesus becomes our new identity, we’re called to learn to become more like Him. Together means that we are followers; following, followers following Jesus.

It’s meaningful discipleship. It’s walking with those who’ve been there before and those beginning the journey.

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” Acts 2:42 (NLT)

For Others

For others means we share. Sharing comes from the overflow of what Jesus is doing in our lives. It’s being generous, outgoing, and overflowing. Sharing is caring for one another and putting the needs of others before our own.

We can be a sharer with them as they enjoy gospel blessings, so that we might enjoy their enjoyment of Christ.

Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 (CSB)

We believe God is Creator and Ruler of the universe.

He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

  • Genesis 1:1, 26-27
  • Psalm 90:2
  • Matthew 28:19
  • 2 Corinthians 13:14
  • 1 Peter 1:2
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

He is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus entered the human race through a virgin birth. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

  • Isaiah 9:6
  • Matthew 1:22-23
  • John 1:1-5, 14:10-30
  • Acts 1:9-11
  • Romans 1:3-4
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
  • 1 Timothy 6:14-15
  • Titus 2:13
  • Hebrews 4:14-15
We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God.

He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives within every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living a holy life, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance for doing what is right. The Christian seeks to surrender their life and live under His control daily.

  • John 14:16-17, 16:7-13
  • Acts 1:8
  • 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16
  • 2 Corinthians 3:17
  • Galatians 5:25
  • Ephesians 1:13, 5:18
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
We believe salvation is a gift from God to each one of us.

We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can one be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into their life by faith.

  • John 1:12, 3:16, 14:6
  • Romans 5:1, 6:23
  • Galatians 3:26
  • Ephesians 2:8-9
  • Titus 3:5
We believe we were created to exist forever.

We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in an intimate relationship with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in heaven. We believe heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

  • John 3:16
  • Romans 6:23
  • 1 John 2:25, 5:11-13
  • Revelation 20:15
We believe human beings are made in the image of God, to be like Him in character.

We are the supreme objects of God’s creation. Although we have tremendous potential for good, we are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. Sin separates us from God.

  • Genesis 1:27
  • Psalm 8:3-6
  • Isaiah 53:6a, 59:1-2
  • Romans 3:23
We believe the Bible is God's word to all people.

It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. We believe the Bible perfectly reveals everything we need to be saved.

  • Psalm 12:6, 119:105, 160
  • Proverbs 30:5
  • 2 Timothy 1:13, 3:16
  • 2 Peter 1:20-21
  • Hebrews 4:12-13
We believe church should be culturally relevant.

It’s a safe place for all people to investigate Christianity. It’s also a place where people can experience practical biblical teaching, upbeat music, and quality programs for the entire family. It’s a place of celebration where ordinary people can experience a life-changing, vulnerable relationship with God and other people. God has a purpose and a plan for everyone and desires to have an exciting relationship with them. We strive to be culturally relevant, but our Theology doesn’t change based on culture. We believe it is important to stay relevant, but also stay true to God’s Word.

  • Hebrews 10:25
  • Acts 2:42-47
  • Ephesians 3:14-21, 4:4-13
